- We watched the Warner Bros. home video release of House of Wax for the show this week. It has excellent bonus features and comes with an awesome commentary track. Also comes with a 3D version of the film.

- Ghouls, Gimmicks, and Gold: Horror Films and the American Movie Business, 1953-1968 by Kevin Heffernan — Here’s a link to a fantastic book discussing the cycle of “gimmick horror” that took off at this point in american film history. It’s full of both technical information and insightful readings of the films discussed. Highly recommended.
